- Kitchen deep clean — oven exterior, stovetop, rangehood, benchtops and splashback, cupboards and drawers in and out, sink and tapware descaled and polished.
- Bathrooms and laundry restored — tiles, grout, shower screens, bath, basin, toilets, mirrors, exhaust fans and laundry tub.
- Every room detailed — skirting boards, switches, door handles, doors and frames, wardrobes, light fittings, cobwebs, blinds dusted, carpets vacuumed and hard floors mopped.
- Inside windows and tracks — glass, sills and tracks wiped and polished.
- Walls spot-cleaned — marks and scuffs removed where possible.
- Photo report — before-and-after photos sent the day we finish.

Your bond is four weeks' rent, held by the NSW Rental Bond Board. On a Bondi or Manly apartment at $1,000 a week that's $4,000, and on a Chatswood or Lane Cove two-bedder it's still around $3,400. What Sydney property managers actually check
Most failed exit reports come down to the same few spots: the oven interior, window tracks, shower grout, skirting boards and light fittings. Those are exactly what an exit clean targets. The oven interior is a $50 add-on (see pricing) and it's the single most-flagged item on exit reports, so most tenants take it. Balconies are the other one that catches out renters in the eastern suburbs and the harbourside apartment blocks: a balcony, deck or patio clean is from $30.
Do you need carpet steam cleaning too?
Check your lease. If it says the carpets were professionally cleaned at the start of the tenancy, most Sydney agents require a professional carpet clean with a receipt at exit. You can add carpet steam cleaning to your booking from $40 a room ($99 minimum). One crew, one visit, one receipt for your agent.

Book after the furniture is out if you can, ideally a day or two before your final inspection.
